The Sequel to the Tamil Hit
Demonte Colony 2, the sequel to the 2015 Tamil hit, is set to release on Independence Day. Actor Arulnithi, who reprises his lead role in the sequel, recently revealed that director Ajay Gnanamuthu had plans to re-release the first film in multiple theaters.
However, Arulnithi assures that the sequel will stand on its own and will not require viewers to have seen the first film. He says, "Demonte Colony 2 is a complete story in itself. While it is a continuation of the first film, it can be enjoyed by anyone who is a fan of horror thrillers."
Arulnithi also hinted at a cliffhanger ending for the sequel, similar to the first film. "Like the first film, the sequel will also end on a high note with a cliffhanger that sets up the possibility for a third film," he says.
While Arulnithi couldn't reveal much about the plot of Demonte Colony 2, he did say that it will be more intense and thrilling than the first film.
