Launch Targeted for Saturday, June 1

The Boeing Starliner spacecraft's close-out crew has fully strapped in NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, marking a significant step towards the spacecraft's launch on Wednesday evening.

The launch of the United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket and Boeing Starliner spacecraft, targeted for Saturday, June 1, will mark a major milestone in the development of Boeing's Crew Space Transportation CST-100 Starliner spacecraft.

The Starliner is being developed in collaboration with NASA's Commercial Crew Program, which aims to provide the ability to launch astronauts to and from the International Space Station on American-made spacecraft.

The historic mission, called the Crew Flight Test, is expected to launch at 10:52 am ET from Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
