Boeing Starliner Launch Date 2023

Boeing's Starliner Ready for Launch to ISS

Third Attempt at Astronaut Mission

Boeing's Starliner spacecraft is set to launch on a third attempt to carry two astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission, dubbed Starliner-1, will be an uncrewed test flight designed to demonstrate the spacecraft's ability to safely transport humans to low-Earth orbit.

Launch Details

The launch is scheduled for May 19, 2023, from Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 41 in Florida. It will use a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket as its launch vehicle. If successful, the Starliner will dock with the ISS about two days after launch.

The mission will last approximately six months. During that time, the Starliner will conduct various tests to verify its systems and capabilities. It will also carry a number of cargo items to the ISS.

The Starliner mission is a critical step in NASA's efforts to return humans to the lunar surface by 2025. It is also an important test for Boeing, which has been working to develop the Starliner for several years.

If the Starliner mission is successful, it will pave the way for the first crewed Starliner mission to the ISS. That mission is expected to take place later this year.
