Carlos Alcaraz Wins Historic Wimbledon Title, Topples Novak Djokovic
Alcaraz Secures Fourth Grand Slam with Straight Sets Victory
First Spaniard to Win Consecutive Wimbledon Titles
In a stunning upset, Carlos Alcaraz, the No. 3 seed, has secured his fourth Grand Slam title with a straight sets victory over top seed Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon men's singles final. Alcaraz's 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4), 7-4 win marks the first time a Spaniard has won back-to-back Wimbledon titles.
Djokovic, who was aiming for his seventh Wimbledon title, had been the overwhelming favorite heading into the final. However, Alcaraz's exceptional performance and relentless aggression proved too much for the Serbian.
Alcaraz's victory propels him to the top of the Pepperstone ATP Live Race To Turin. He will now aim to make his ATP Finals debut later this year.
